Disposing of Paint Tins - Paint Recycling and Reuse Partnership

All Waste Matters are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with leading waste paint reclamation specialists Paint 360.

All suitable waste paint now collected by us will be sent to Paint 360 for conversion back to reusable paints.

This is another exciting development for us here. A further important arm to our ever-growing network of kind recycling options.

Liquid Paint is screened, treated, cleaned and turned back into reusable paint.

Leftover paint is thought to generate in excess of 55 million litres waste per year. Whilst some of this can be burnt in high temperature to energy plants, much still ends up in landfill sites. This practice is outdated and has to be stopped as soon as possible.

Household waste recycling centres have been quick to get on board with the project too. Ensuring local household waste is diverted from landfill and unused paint is reused whenever possible.

Empty paint tins can still be collected, cleaned and wherever possible recycled. Pots too dirtied are treated in high-temperature waste to energy plants. The resultant energy is sent back to the National Grid.

We can collect larger amounts of paint or small quantities down to 100litres at a time for collection.

Local community repaint schemes such as this are an integral part of reducing waste.

Solvent-based paint.
In May 2020 Paint360 will also unveil their new multi-million pound recycling facility. It will increase capacity and enable further reuse of solvent-based paints and kinder Hazardous Waste Disposal options.

How to dispose of emulsion paint.
By sending your waste emulsion paint to us, you are ensuring that it has the best possible chance of being re-used.

Any suitable material for recycling we send to Paint 360. The ‘new’ paint is guaranteed to contain a minimum of 95% of recycled paint.

Despite the increase in costs incurred by us using this friendlier route, we have made the decision to absorb these into our existing pricing plans.

This means we have successfully frozen our paint disposal prices for the last 3 years. Something we see as integral to encouraging our customers to dispose of their waste in as responsible a way as possible.
